Community Service ProGRAMS

I frequently volunteer to help with many local programs. Here are a few that I'm more deeply involved in:

• Brave Waters — healing of wounded veterans, particularly those currently receiving care, by providing stress-free outdoor recreational retreats that foster camaraderie among participating veterans, their caregivers, and the veteran community. Brave Waters Association was previously known as the Reel Vets Association.

• Nevada Trout in the Classroom — national program developed by Trout Unlimited, organized in Nevada by Nevada Department of Wildlife in partnership with the River Wranglers, Trout Adventures, and others.

• Reel Recovery — fly fishing retreats helping men live with cancer.

• Youth Wildlife Conservation Experience and Nevada Outdoor Experience — youth programs designed "to excite and inspire the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts."  These programs are organized by the Wild Sheep Foundation and supported by many partners including Trout Adventures.

Conservation Organizations

• Alpine Watershed Group — protecting watersheds of Alpine County, California.

• Friends of Nevada Wilderness — protecting Nevada's wild lands.

• The Nature Conservancy — To conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.

• River Wranglers — empowering youth through outdoor watershed education.

• Trout Adventures — wildlife and conservation education focused on native trout and the ecosystems that sustain them.

• Trout Unlimited — protecting, restoring, and reconnecting rivers & streams for clean water, healthy fish, and thriving communities.

• Walker Basin Conservancy — They cultivate resilient communities in the Walker River Basin.

• American Fisheries Society — strengthening the fisheries profession, advancing fisheries science, and conserving fisheries resources.

• Keep Fish Wet — helping anglers improve the outcome for each fish they release.
